What to Wear at Your Engagement Session

It’s always a loaded question. I know I have certain outfits that I look and feel good in. So that should definitely be your go to when it comes to what you decide to wear. I usually suggest wearing what you might wear for a nice night out, but at the same time, you certainly want to consider the environment and terrain we'll be on. It doesn’t make sense to wear heels if your session is in the mountains, and visa versa for wearing hiking boots for a city shoot. So consider some nice yet practical shoes.

If you can’t think of anything to wear why not buy that outfit you’ve had your eye on? Treat yourself! Textures generally photograph well..denim, wool, flannel, tweed. You want to avoid wearing anything too busy, but classic patterns and color palettes are fine. If you're accessory people feel free to bring things like, scarves, hats, glasses, blankets, etc.

And It's totally cool if you want to bring a few options I'm happy to offer up any recommendations.

Ultimately these photoshoots are about you and are a reflection of who you are, so come in clothes that make you feel great!
